Himalaya Electronics and Computer Club (HEM established on 2017 AD. is an active students' society of Himalaya College of Engineering founded as the platform for electronics and computer engineering students to enhance their creativity and career development skills. It provides an opportunity for the students to keep themselves updated with the latest advancement in technology through the club activities.HECC organizes various events like training. seminar. workshop. interactive talk shows etc. A technical quiz. a technical workshop on "Introduction to Aurdino" and a workshop on sIDEIP Training" for computer and electronics engineering students were held this year. HECC along with other student clubs have organized an inter-college grand event. Himalaya Exhibition 2018.

Events organized by Himalaya Electronics and Computer Club are:

  • Software Competition: In software competition, participants were presented with a set of problems and tasked with designing and developing software solutions within a specified time frame. They worked in teams, employing their programming and problem-solving skills to create innovative and efficient solutions. The problems presented to the participants were related to health sectors. The solutions were evaluated based on factors such as correctness, efficiency, creativity, and usability, and participants may also be required to present and demonstrate their solutions to judges or fellow participants.
  • Code Wars: In a Code Wars event, participants tackled coding challenges to enhance their programming skills. They solved time-limited problems to test their ability to think quickly and delivered efficient solutions. Feedback was provided to help participants improve, and their solutions were ranked competitively. Collaboration with the community fosters knowledge sharing and networking, while the overall objective was to hone coding abilities, compete, and engage with fellow developers. The theme for the questions was DSA and OOP. The objectives of conducting a technical quiz related to Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) was multi-fold. Firstly, the quiz aimed to assess participants' knowledge and understanding of fundamental concepts in DSA and OOP, including data structures, algorithms, and OOP principles. The quiz challenged participants to apply their knowledge to solve problems effectively, testing their problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and ability to analyze and design solutions. Moreover, the quiz promoted continuous learning and improvement by identifying areas where participants may need further study or practice. It also served as valuable preparation for technical interviews and coding competitions, familiarizing participants with common question types and enhancing their problem-solving abilities.
