Scholarship questions

Clear answers to common questions about eligibility, coverage, and applications.

Can I apply for multiple scholarships simultaneously?

Scholarships are not stackable - only the highest applicable scholarship is awarded. For example, if a student qualifies for both the IOE Top Rank (100%) and Board Merit (50%) scholarship, they receive the 100% waiver.

What happens to my scholarship if my GPA drops?

Scholarships tied to academic performance (Board Merit, Terminal Rank) are reviewed each semester. Students must maintain minimum GPA thresholds. The Diversity and IOE Rank scholarships are not performance-conditioned after admission.

Do scholarships cover hostel or transportation fees?

Current scholarship programs cover tuition fees only. Hostel, transportation, and examination fees are not included in the scholarship coverage.

Is there a separate application form for scholarships?

No separate form is required. Scholarships are assessed automatically at the time of admission based on submitted documents (IOE rank card, NEB certificate, citizenship, district certificate). Inform the admissions office at the time of enrollment.

When is the deadline to claim scholarships?

Scholarship claims must be made within the first 2 weeks of the enrollment period for a given academic year. Late submissions may not be honored. Contact the HCOE admissions office for current deadlines.
